Information Collection and Use

SBR collects information from our website users, subscribers, and other customers. In this section of our Privacy Statement, we describe the type of information we collect and how we use it to provide better services to our customers.

Registration and Ordering

When using some of our websites and signing up for our online services, including Certified AI 360; when subscribing to our e-newsletters; and/or when attending trade shows, in-person events, and when participating in our webcasts; users may be asked to register. During registration, users are required to give their contact information (such as name, e-mail address, mailing address, and phone number), and other information may be requested (such as the size of a company, etc.). For internal purposes, we use this information to communicate with users and provide requested services, and, for our website visitors, to provide a more personalized experience on our sites. We also use such information to improve our service, for marketing purposes, and/or for industry reporting purposes.

For our services that require payment (purchasing a book; attending an event; purchasing access to an online program such as Certified AI 360; etc.), we use third-parties for payment processing and thus, your privacy relationship is with that third-party. Some of the information the third-parties may collect includes credit card information (such as account name, number, and expiration date along with identifiable information including but not limited to address, phone number, and email address), which is used for our agent's billing purposes only, and is not otherwise shared.

Recipients of our newsletters can unsubscribe using the instructions listed at the end of the e-mail newsletter. We have features where our customers can submit information to us (such as our feedback forms). Where such submissions include requests for service, support, or information, we may forward them to our agents, as needed, to best respond to the specific request. In addition, we may retain e-mails and other information sent to us for our internal administrative purposes and to help us to serve customers better.

AI Tools Data Collection and Use

When you use AI 360 GPT, AI 360 Tools, or any AI-powered features within Certified AI 360, you may input queries, prompts, company names, individual names, documents, and other information. The following describes how we handle this data:

  • User Inputs: Information you enter into AI 360 GPT or AI 360 Tools (such as company names, individual names, industry queries, uploaded documents, and prompts) is used to generate outputs and provide the requested services. We do not sell or share your specific inputs with third parties for their marketing purposes.
  • AI Processing: AI 360 GPT and AI 360 Tools utilize third-party artificial intelligence services, including but not limited to OpenAI and other large language model providers, to process your queries and generate outputs. Your inputs may be transmitted to these third-party AI services for processing. These third-party providers have their own privacy policies governing their handling of data. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers.
  • Output Data: The outputs generated by AI 360 GPT and AI 360 Tools (such as company analyses, industry reports, personality assessments, and communications) are provided to you for your use. We do not systematically store or retain these outputs unless required for service functionality or troubleshooting purposes.
  • Third-Party Data Sources: AI 360 GPT and AI 360 Tools access publicly available information from third-party sources, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Google, news websites, company websites, and public databases. We do not control the privacy practices of these third-party sources, and your use of information obtained from these sources is subject to the terms and privacy policies of those third parties.
  • Sensitive Information: We strongly advise against entering sensitive personal information, confidential business information, trade secrets, protected health information, social security numbers, financial account numbers, or other highly sensitive data into AI 360 GPT or AI 360 Tools. While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is completely secure, and AI-powered tools involve third-party processing that is beyond our direct control.
  • Usage Analytics: We may collect aggregated, anonymized data about how AI 360 GPT and AI 360 Tools are used (such as which features are most popular, frequency of use, and general query categories) to improve our services. This aggregated data does not identify individual users or their specific queries.

Data Collection, Storage, and Breach Policies

For emails you send to us, we use Office365. We do back up our email data file to cloud-based backup services, and you agree to abide by their Terms.

For some of our online programs, including Certified AI 360, we use Teachable as our back-end hosting platform and all data resides on the Teachable platform and their databases. The only data we can see when we look at a user's account is the user's name, email address, IP address on registration and subsequent logins, how often a user logs in, and what Lessons that a user looks at while using the online resource site. We do not have access to any credit card or billing information, and we do not have access to a user's password. We can change a password, but we do not have the ability to see a user's existing password. Teachable's Terms are found at: https://teachable.com/terms-of-use and: https://teachable.com/privacy-policy.

For credit card processing, we use Teachable and Teachable uses Stripe to process the payments and maintain subscriptions. In addition, we also use Fastspring to process some of our credit card transactions. With Teachable, Stripe, and Fastspring, we do not have access to any credit card data. Stripe's Terms are found at: https://stripe.com/legal and Fastspring's Terms are found at: https://fastspring.com/privacy.

When you sign up for any of our online programs, including Certified AI 360, we use Zapier to send registration information that includes only first name, last name, email address, the Course signed up for, and the date of sign up. That information is stored in ConvertKit, which we use to send instructional and informational emails. For our online demonstrations and webinars, we use Zoom, and their Terms are found at: https://zoom.us/terms

Our CRM system may store your identifying data. We collect client information and data in our CRM including but not limited to name, company name, email address, phone number, conference/event information, fees paid, and relevant relationships.

We do not maintain any servers or databases and instead, rely upon the third-party vendors highlighted above and possible other third parties not mentioned above. In the event of a data breach at any of our third-party relationships, we would follow the communication instructions provided to us by the breached company, and the company itself may communicate directly with any impacted users.

For our internal purposes, we gather date, time, browser type, navigation history, and IP address of all visitors to our websites. We use this information for our internal security audit log, trend analysis, and system administration, and to gather broad information about our user base.
